The combination of PureStar and Emerald creates one of the top commercial laundry services providers in the U.S. with a scaled, diversified platform serving both the hospitality and healthcare end markets.

Emerald Textiles is a leading healthcare laundry provider on the West Coast operating 12 facilities and three depots. As the second-largest healthcare provider nationwide, Emerald's network of state-of-the-art facilities provides mission-critical linen services to hospitals and healthcare systems across the West Coast. Emerald has built a strong reputation for service quality, reliability, and compliance in highly regulated healthcare environments.

On February 5^th, 2025, TRSA, Association for the Linen, Uniform and Facility Services Industry, held its annual Industry Awards Dinner in Washington D.C. recognizing excellence in laundry and linen service providers throughout North America.

PureStar took home awards in several categories including sustainability, diversity, safety and best plant:

Clean Green Innovation Award

Gold Level – awarded to Brady Linen – Las Vegas, NV

The TRSA Clean Green Innovation Award recognizes outstanding efforts in environmental improvement by a company and/or facility implementing an innovative approach to increasing sustainability, reducing energy consumption and positively impacting the environment.

Brady Linen in Las Vegas received the highest award in this category for its water re-use systems at the company's Mayflower, Losee, and Foremaster plants. Brady Linen has been utilizing water re-use systems for close to a decade, with its first Milnor Pure Pulse system installed in 2015, followed by two Norchem systems installed in 2018 and 2019. As a result of these systems, the overall reduction in water use is around 60%. In a city where water is a growing concern, with the growing usage of the Colorado River, the sheer amount of water saved and wastewater discharge reduction in Las Vegas is quite significant.

Diversity Recognition Award

Gold Level – awarded to PureStar

The TRSA Diversity Award acknowledges members’ efforts that represent a step forward in attracting or acknowledging diverse talent, improving intergroup interaction in a multi-cultural workforce or otherwise promoting and fostering inclusivity to support employees.

PureStar scored a Silver Level award for safety, noting a 42% decrease in TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate) over the last three years. PureStar attributes the ongoing success in TRIR reduction to dedication to continuous improvement of our Safety and Health program and culture. Recent initiatives include over 20 safety programs and policies to target and reduce specific risk (LOTO, Confined Space, Heat Illness, and others), proactive mitigation through safety walks, incident investigations and preventive actions shared through the organization, and enhanced driver safety monitoring.

Best Plants of the Year Award

Silver Level – awarded to AC Linen – Norwich, CT

Linen, uniform and facility services laundries recognized in the TRSA Best Plants of the Year competition are acknowledged for their comprehensive efforts to improve capabilities to supply, launder and maintain textiles for their business customers.

AC Linen’s location in Norwich, CT received Silver Level recognition for Best Plant of the Year. The 35,000 square foot plant opened in 2004 and stands out for safety (zero recordable incidents in 2024), preventative maintenance on equipment, and commitment to customer relationships.
